Do you often sit with the sports lover in your household with little to say during a game?
Granted, they are not going to be interested in having a full conversation during a game, but you may be able to impress them with the news that the designer label, Joseph Abboud will be outfitting nearly all the coaches of the NBA.
According to NBA dress code, coaches are required to wear dress shoes, tailored jackets and dress shirts, sport shirts or turtlenecks while pacing and barking out orders on the sidelines.
When discussing the three year deal that is set to cost the label more than $500,000 with my husband, he expressed emphatic disappointment. “It takes all the fun out of seeing what the coaches are going to wear. Part of the fun was to see the disasters other coaches like Doug Collins and Stan Van Gundy were going to wear.” (Van Gundy pictured above left, has been compared to a used car salesman and poked fun at for his close resemblance to a infamous porn star.)
The JA Apparel is also working on a deal to bring the coaches to local department stores to promote the clothing line.
Hmm, a new excuse to get your significant other to go shopping?
